Onward Vet didn’t start as a business idea — it started as a real problem.
Many years ago, while consulting for Fortune 500 companies on high-performance data architectures, Rajat Sharma was approached by a close veterinarian friend who was frustrated with the server-based, clunky veterinary software available in the market. Systems were slow, rigid, and difficult to use, forcing clinics to adapt their workflows around outdated technology.
As Rajat spent time inside veterinary clinics, observing daily operations and listening directly to veterinarians and staff, the challenges became clear: inefficient workflows, fragmented data, and too many disconnected point solutions that clinics were forced to integrate, manage, and maintain — instead of a single, unified platform built for how they actually worked.
